Toddler Skating

For skaters 5 years old and younger!

The Top Shelf Tiny Toddler Program is intended to help your child develop skating skills for better balance and foot speed.  We emphasize basic skating concepts and having fun through ice games.  Many of the children in our program move on to join some of our figure skating or hockey programs; all of them have fun!

Skating instructor Anne Buccino-Katz is a certified skating pro with a special gift for working with the young ones.  Director Bill Maniscalco, the assistant coach at Avon Old Farms, is also on hand to supervise and guide the children.  There will be a 20 minute lesson, followed by a group snack, followed by a 20-minute supervised "free skate."

All young skaters should dress in warm layers and must wear helmets for safety.  Snowsuits are not recommended because they restrict mobility and are slippery when they come into contact with the ice.
